IWCK was founded in 1992 by a small group of expatriate women in then newly independent Ukraine. The aim was to bring together women from all over the world to take part in a range of charitable, cultural and social activities. IWCK is registered as a charity in Ukraine, as all our financial activities are directed at raising money for charities.
The club is run by volunteers on the Steering Committee, who normally attend two monthly meetings to oversee the general business of the club. The Steering Committee is elected annually in May. All members are encouraged to consider standing for election for one of the positions, listed below:

Our Club Coordinator, is the contact point and runs the day-to-day business of the club.
The language for communication in the club is English, though many of our members speak other languages and we have seven different conversation groups among our Interest Groups: English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
