The 18th annual charitable "Race under the Chestnut Trees" will take place on Maydan Nezalezhnosty on the City Day of Kiev. Funds raised from the race will go to the Cardiology Institute of the Ministry of Health for surgical equipment used on newborns with heart problems. Doantions are UAH 60 per person; registration from 9.00 - 9.45 am. If you or your family would like to participate, please contact Yaroslava before Thursday May 27th. The meeting place and time for IWCK participants will be communicated closer to the event.

A FAMILY FRIENDLY TRIP TO KANIV 9.00 - 17.00

After a light snack upon arrival, we will tour Tarasova Hora and the Guard House. Parents who would prefer to walk up the mountain alone can leave their children with the baby-sitting service at the Knyazha Hora Hotel. After descent from the mountain we will have a lunch prepared by gourmet chef Yury Verbilo at the hotel's terrace overlooking the Dnipro River. After lunch participants will be able to choose to play beach volleybal, bike, visit the sculpture garden, see paintings by Alexander Krivolap or simply relax and sunbath before going back to Kiev. Meet at Pushinskaya street 39 (IWCK office). Departure at 9.00 am Do not forget your camera, the view from Tarasova Hora will be beautiful.

Prepayment required by Wednesday June 2nd. Cost is UAH 285 per padult, UAH 145 per child age 7 to 12 y.o., and UAH 30 per child up to 7 y.o.. Minimum 10 adults participants required.

THE UKRAINIAN CENTER OF FOLK CULTURE " Ivan Hochar Museum" 10.00 - 13.00

We will tour the folk art expo collected from different parts of Ukraine with our guide Helene and have  a 2 hour master class of PISANKA that each of the participants will take home as a souvenir from this tour.

Meet at Museum Main Entrance at Ivana Mazepy street 29. Prepayment required by Tuesday June 8th. Cost is UAH 100. Minimum 5 participants.
